DeVols: * Spoiler Alert * - Movie Review: Inception
Brilliant, brilliant movie based on the exploration of dreams.
The movie is intellectually stimulating and hypnotically engaging. Amazing visual effects and terrific action scenes. Inception was created with the utmost precision.
I thoroughly enjoyed it and have taken pleasure in continuing to create my own theories. Check out the chart above with the best explanation that I’ve seen so far!
Mark my words: Inception will win lots of awards and deservingly so!

My Sister’s Keeper
I watched My Sister’s Keeper with my mom and sister tonight. Great, great movie that truly makes you reflect on what’s important in life. Based on the 2004 novel written by Jodi Picoult, the movie is about 11 year old Anna’s {Abigail Breslin} decision to become medically emancipated from her parents {Jason Patric and Cameron Diaz}. It has become expected of Anna to donate her kidney to her sister Kate {Sofia Vassilieva} who is dying of leukemia. Fantastic acting by all of the cast, in my opinion and I highly recommend watching this film if you’re in the mood for a deep, heart-wrenching, thought-provoking kind of movie. Tip: Be sure to have a box of tissues close by while you watch, because it is definitely a tear jerker.

Alice in Wonderland Movie Review
*SPOILER ALERT*
On Sunday, I saw Alice in Wonderland on IMAX 3D and like most Tim Burton’s movies, the visual oddities and unique effects did not disappoint. However, I found the storyline to be rather drab. To begin with, for those who are like me and come expecting to see a remake of a childhood Disney favorite, will be quite let down. Tim Burton’s Alice in Wonderland is a sequel of sorts to the original. The movie revolves around an older Alice with somewhat similar experiences to those that she encountered as a child, but with a Tim Burton twist. To be honest, I did not even put these pieces together until later. Since I had assumed the movie was a remake, I kept wondering why certain phrases were being left out. For instance, I thought to myself: “Why is no one talking about their UNBIRTHDAY!”
If you’re a Tim Burton fan and come to the movie with no expectations, I imagine that you’ll enjoy it.
